About Verel Building Experiences
Verel is a Dutch company that has been strengthening brands since 2004. Through an integrated design & build approach, Verel creates and delivers interiors, events, and experience centers that bring brands to life. With a team of more than 40 professionals, Verel operates at the intersection of creativity, craftsmanship, and technology.
When growth brings complexity
As Verel continued to grow, maintaining clear oversight became increasingly difficult. With multiple disciplines involved, more projects running in parallel, and a growing number of people working on the same initiatives, scattered emails, personal to-do lists, and Excel files were no longer sufficient. “When you’re a small team, email works just fine,” says Yannick de Bekker, Head of Events. “However, once you grow beyond 40 people, you need a system that keeps communication flowing and provides clear visibility into the process.”
Fragmented information as a structural risk
That same growth also exposed a structural risk: information was spread across multiple channels and locations, often tied to individual employees.
“Everything used to run through email, with dozens of threads going back and forth,” says Lando Oomen, Head of Interiors. “If someone was out of the office, you’d suddenly start wondering: where’s that file? Who has the latest update? Has this already been taken care of?” As a result, project follow-up became fragile and heavily dependent on individuals.
In search of one central workspace
To eliminate this fragmentation, Verel set out to find a single, shared platform for the entire organization. Their way of working had long been rooted in spreadsheets, which made the transition to monday.com feel intuitive from the start.
“We were very much an Excel-driven organization,” Yannick explains. “monday.com also works with rows and columns, but in a way that truly supports collaboration and communication.” That sense of familiarity lowered the barrier to adoption and helped bring projects, teams, and information together in one central workspace.
Introducing monday.com
Once Verel chose monday.com, the platform was shaped around the way the team works. From the initial sales request to final project delivery, every step was brought together in one clear, connected workflow. Today, monday.com forms the backbone of Verel’s operations, ensuring seamless alignment between sales, planning, and execution.
From lead to deal in monday CRM
Every new engagement at Verel starts in monday CRM. Leads are managed in one central place, giving teams clear visibility into their status, likelihood of success, and next steps. Once an opportunity is approved, all information captured in the CRM flows directly into project management, forming a consistent and reliable foundation for project execution.
Project execution powered by work management & templates
Once a deal is approved, a project board is automatically created in monday work management. Based on whether the project is an event or an interior build, the appropriate template is applied. This creates a consistent way of working across teams, makes progress easy to track, and keeps all communication directly linked to the project.
Working with Tryve
Early on, Verel recognised that implementing monday.com would require external expertise. Throughout the journey, the team worked closely with Dieter Ceulemans, Senior monday.com Consultant at Tryve. “From the very first conversations, it felt like a good match,” says Yannick. “You need someone who really understands how you work, who challenges you when needed, and who comes back with concrete solutions.” That combination of deep expertise and genuine involvement created trust and ensured that monday.com was quickly adopted across the organisation.
Conclusion
Today, Verel operates from a single, shared platform where sales, project delivery, and teams are seamlessly connected through monday.com. The added clarity and structure make it easier to keep projects on track, share information across teams, and manage deadlines, even in time-sensitive environments.
With the support of Tryve, the system was tailored to fit how Verel actually works. This allows the company to scale with confidence, staying in control of its processes while preserving the flexibility and creative freedom that define its work.
